Councilman Wesson’s office via our friends at Mid-City NC shared the following information with us…
Not just for low income. Not unhealthy. You can order a box for you and your family or if you are not struggling, you can also donate a box. It was on the news - watch the clip on their home page.
Treasure Box is a company that helps families/individuals stretch their money during these tough economic times by offering a prepackaged box of groceries. You pay $30 for approximately $100 worth of food!
Each box contains 21-25 pounds of high quality, frozen foods including chicken, pork, beef or seafood, in addition to vegetables, fruit, a side dish and a dessert. From my understanding, the menu items change monthly.
While some of you may not be struggling or interested in this option, there are tons of families that are, so please pass the information on, as you never know someone else’s circumstances.
